Norwich University's tradition of excellence and proud military heritage that began at its campus in 1819 is reflected in its online graduate programs that are offered to adult learners across the country and the world. All of the Norwich online programs offer relevant, focused curricula, and small, interactive classes. As an institution long associated with innovation in education and the preparation of the nation's business, government, and military leaders, Norwich faculty and its graduates continue to contribute to the development of the economic, political, and social infrastructure of the nation and the world.
Do you dream of exploring the capitals of Europe, wildlife parks of Africa, country villages in South America or the wonders of rapidly evolving China?
When you major in International Studies, you learn about foreign languages and cultures at the source. The program is designed to help students better understand the times we live in, and develop the capacity to function effectively within them. Our students take courses in history, political science, economics, the humanities, modern language and international studies itself.
Requirements include at least one semester in a study-abroad program where the student develops language proficiency and cultural understanding. Students are prepared for their overseas experience through the course work they take on campus, including advanced studies in Spanish, French, German or Chinese.
While abroad, our students develop the cultural sensitivity crucial for careers in government, the military, business, international agencies and nonprofit service organizations.
