Emergency Medical Services:

The EMS curriculum is designed for working paramedics who want to expand their professional opportunities with a college degree. It recognizes 40 hours of prior learning credit for those with current NREMT-P certification. With this 40 hours of credit (awarded at no charge upon completion of 12 additional hours at the University), students can receive an A.S. degree after as little as a year of study. The degree program dovetails with many of the Universityís bachelorís degree curricula and is structured to accommodate the schedules of working paramedics. Two specialized tracks, one in management and one in science, allow students to focus on either administrative or medical skills.
